Big Blues Downed By Southern Virginia, 16-10

DSC 0110BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Bluefield State baseball team was defeated 16-10 by Southern Virginia University Thursday night at Parry McCluer Field.

The Big Blues (6-24) banged out 16 hits in the game led by Brady Guimond who went 4-for-6 with three RBI’s. Larry Lowry and Jon Neuberger followed with three hits apiece while Lowry led the team with four RBI’s.

Southern Virginia (13-16) recorded 20 hits with Tyler Cox leading the team with three hits and four RBI’s.

Jordan Draeger earned the loss, surrendering eight runs in three innings on the mound.

The Big Blues will continue their road trek this weekend with a conference series against Glenville State University, April 14-15.
