Men's Tennis go 2-0 against WSSU & Shaw
Raleigh, NC- The Bluefield State Men's Tennis team played Winston-Salem State and Shaw University on Sunday, April 6th and won both matches. Match 1 v WSSUThe first match was against Winston-Salem State and won 9-0. The Men swept them both in individuals and doubles. The individual wins were by Jacob Carey, Piotr Kruk, Aziz Yuldashev, Anthony Braem, Connor Pickering and Guillermo Cortes-Lopez. The doubles wins were by Jacob Carey/Piotr Kruk, Vishwesh Sinha/Aziz Yuldashev, and Connor Pickering/Vlad Catlan. Match 2 v ShawThe second match was against Shaw University and won 5-1. The Men swept Shaw in doubles wins by Azia Yuldashev/Vishwesh Sinha, Piotr Kruk/Vlad Catlan, and Anthony Braem/Connor Pickering. The other 2 wins came individually by Jacob Carey and Vishwesh Sinha. The Men's Tennis team will travel to Bloomsburg, PA to play in the Bloomsburg Duels April

Men's Tennis in Orlando, FL
Orlando, FL - The Bluefield State Men's tennis team traveled to Orlando, FL and went 2-3. Match 1The first match was against Florida Tech and lost a tough match 4-5. Two of the wins were by Sop Vishwesh Sinha, Senior Vlad Catlan. The other 2 wins were by doubles: Jacob Carey/Piotr Kruk and Connor Pickering/Aziz Yuldashev. Match 2The second match was against Washburn University and won 5-4. Three of the wins were by Jacob Carey, Aziz Yuldashev, and Connor Pickering. The other two wins were by doubles: Sinha Vishwesh/Aziz Yuldashev and Vlad Catlan/Connor Pickering. Match 3The third match was against Florida Southern and lost 1-8. The only win were by doubles: Vishwesh Sinha and Azia Yuldashev. Match 4The fourth match was against Flagler and won 5-4. Four wins were by Piotr Kruk, Vishwesh Sinha, Anthony Braem, and Conner Pickering. The other win were by doubles: Vlad Catland and Conner Pickering. ITA Rankings Released
Skillman, NJ - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Rankings were released yesterday and the Bluefield State Men's Tennis team is ranked in the top 50 being #41 in the Nation for NCAA Division II. The Men's Tennis team traveled to Orlando, Florida last week to play over spring break. They went 3-2 beating Washburn, Flagler, and Rollins and losing to Florida Tech and Florida Southern. Currently, Florida Southern is ranked #32, Washburn is ranked #39, Flagler is ranked #42, and Florida Tech is ranked #44T. Check out the Rankings here. Check out the Rankings recap

HBCU Tennis Team Rankings Released
Bluefield, WV - The HBCU National Tennis Championships has recently announced their pre-season tennis team rankings and Bluefield State Men's and Women's Tennis teams have both been ranked in the top 10. The Men's team is ranked 6th and the Women's team is ranked 8th.

Tennis Rankings Released
Bluefield, WV - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has the Division II rankings out and Bluefield State has quite a few student-athletes on the list. Nationally, for Singles, Jacob Carey and Aziz Yudishev are both ranked in the top 50. As well as Vishwesh Sinha and Aziz Yudishev are ranked in the top 25 for Doubles. The Men's Team is ranked #1 in the Atlantic Region. We have 6 student-athletes ranked in the top 20 for Singles in the Atlantic Region. And those same student-athletes are ranked in the top 10 for Doubles.
